What to do in Topeka?

The 160-acre park in Topeka has a host of activities and places of interest for all ages. Gage Park is one of the largest parks in the city. There is something for everyone at Gage Park. 

The park contains the Helen Hocker Theater, the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, the Topeka Zoo, and the Reinisch Rose Garden. Gage Park has a two-mile loop trail for walkers and runners. 

Hill’s Bark Park at Gage Park is a free, fenced dog park with separate areas for small and big dogs. Gage Park is less than 5 miles from our pet-friendly community. 

Crestview Community Center has a community gymnasium, meeting rooms, game room, and computer lab. The center located in southwest Shawnee County and managed by Shawnee County Parks and Recreation. You can try out the outdoor tennis court and disc golf course. 

The community center is right beside near the wonderful Shunga Trail. Guests can park at Crestview Community Center and experience Shunga Trail. 

The Topeka Shawnee County Public Library donated a computer lab to the Crestview Community Center. The center has a public computer lab and Wi-Fi. 

Villa West Apartments is only two miles from Crestview Community Center. 

The Baker University School of Nursing delivers a two-year program in partnership with Stormont Vail Health in Topeka. Baker’s School of Nursing is based out of The Stormont Vail Pozez Education Center on Stormont Vail’s campus. 

Students are encouraged to study at Baker’s campus in Baldwin City their first two years before starting at Baker’s School of Nursing. 

Nursing students will benefit from early involvement in clinical settings. Baker’s nursing students pass the NCLEX on the first try at a higher than national average. In addition, Baker University School of Nursing provides an online Master of Science in Nursing program. Villa West Apartments is a 15 minute from Stormont Vail Health.
